Ming is a graduate student in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, beginning in September 2014. Scott is interested in organic and isotope geochemistry, especially as applied to problems of deep time Earth history and petroleum exploration.
Prior to joining Washington University, Ming obtained degrees in Geology and in Geochemistry from Nanjing University and a M.S. in Geochemistry from the University of Tulsa, where he worked with Michael Formolo. Ming has specialized in specializing in organic geochemistry. At Washington University Ming is working on examining organic and isotope geochemistry of Ediacaran through Silurian core material from the East European Platform.
